Bangladesh takes One Day series

Bangladesh takes their first one-day series success over at present test-playing nation with a three-wicket victory over West Indies to secure a 2-0 ahead with one match remaining.

The victory adds to the successful tour of the Caribbean for the Bangladesh who has also enjoyed their first test series win overseas.

Travis Dowlin hits his maiden ODI century as the weakened West Indies side stand up an impressive 274 for six in their 50 overs.

Bangladesh had don’t chased down such a total in any of their previous 199 ODI games but once again skipper Shakib Al Hasan (65) generated a match-winning performance.

Al Hasan and Mohammad Ashraful (64) put on 74 for the 4th wicket in just 63 balls – this duo do that turned the match in Bangladesh's direction.

The series ends on Friday at Warner Park in St. Kitts, where the two sides will also challenge a Twenty20 International Match on Sunday.
